Earth Kiss's Clean Up Mud: Exfoliate Mud Mask
Earth KissJust unboxed my winnings of Earth Kiss's Earth Kiss tote and a complete line of their energizing facial masks. Earth Kiss masks are natural, vegetarian friendly and cruelty free, single-use sachet skin care treatments. These masks are the brainchild of the herbalists in the vegetarian kitchen of the UK based natural beauty product company, Montagne Juenesse.
I received: (1) natural fiber mini tote with the Earth Kiss Logo imprinted on it, very cute, will be using it as a beach tote for my glasses, wallet, and of course sunscreen; (1) Konjac Facial Sponge, made from a natural Japanese vegetable fiber; (2) Clean Up Mud: Exfoliate Mud Mask; (1) Detox Mud: Pore Cleanse Mud Mask; (1) Moroccan Clay: Pore Refine Mud Mask; (1) Million Year Clay Facial: Revitalise Bamboo Sheet Mask, and (1) Miracle Clay Facial: Hydrate Bamboo Sheet Mask. Boy, have I hit the jackpot!
The marketing focal point of the 100% natural based products is that they are, according to Earth Kiss, "Energised with Himalayan Shilajit. Shilajit is a thick, sticky tar-like substance with a colour ranging from white to dark brown (the latter is more common), sometimes found in the mountains of Tibet. It is said to be used in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine. It has been reported to contain at least 85 minerals in ionic form, as well as triterpenes, humic acid and fulvic acid."
The Clean Up Mud: Exfoliate Mud Mask is responsibly priced at $2.99 USD. This product is for normal/oily skin types, and is a 0.59oz/ 17g, single serve packet, marketed as a Mediterranean Clay and Volcanic Pumice mask energised with Himalyan Shilajit (85 plant micronutrients). The travel size makes it convenient, and for the girl on the go that's definitely a plus. The directions are straightforward, cleanse face and apply, massage gently and escape for 15-20 minutes, detox your pores and condition...rinse off. The packaging does, however, warns to test for irritancy prior to use.
So, off I go with Terry's Essentials lemongrass infused facial bar, the Konjac Facial Sponge, and the Clean Up Mud: Exfoliate Mud Mask. I soaked the sponge according to package directions, and along with the facial bar, I cleaned my face. The mask is a thick creamy consistency with pumice granules. I am following the packaging instructions and escaping for 15-20 minutes. I have positive affirmations blaring from my sound system speakers, sipping on organic green tea out of my best china, and the timer set. I am making this a spa day!
After a week of abuse from the South Florida sun and multiple make-up try-ons, and applications, my sensitive skin is oily, dull looking, and my pores enlarged. My skin is very oily in the T-Zone, so I gently massaged the mask in this area, while being careful of the eye and mouth areas. After rinsing my face as directed, I found my skin to be squeeky clean and my pores visibly minimized. I am more than please by the results. The package recommends using the mask once a week for optimal results.
With an afforable price, single-serve size, and delivers results, I would definitely look into adding this product to my skin care regiment. Can't wait to try the other masks. I will be posting weekly product reviews on the remaining products, so stay tuned!
